Route One as an entertainment center is a big positive for a wide geographic area of fun starved and late night food seeking folks in all age categories. Has anyone ever head of Boxford, Newburyport, Georgetown, Gloucester, Swampscott, Danvers or Medford? These nearby towns are full of responsible people looking for somewhere to go that does not involve going into Boston. Very few of us want to deal with the Boston hassles right? A late movie in Revere and a PU PU platter till 2am... what's wrong with that picture? Right... NOTHING. God forbid we might want to go dancing till 2am too! Why shouldn't that money stay right here in Saugus? I'm sure that with the proper care and fore thought, clear thinking town officials will make the RIGHT choice. A small group of Jurassic curmudgeons who fluff their pillows and turn out the lights before 8pm should not be allowed to cost a cash strapped town innumerable jobs and millions in revenue. Are you going to put some content up for Orchid - its amazing and there is quite a bit of Route One Saugus History to be had with a piece about the location, management and owners!
